Welcome to our House

That's our place on the hill to the left. From the out side it's not too exciting other than the fact that it sits on two acres of country with it's own small creek down that hill and a view of three mountains!
This is off the back deck, the creek runs through the cottonwoods in the small valley. We got to keep our chickens which we let out free range every now and again. Mt. Hood is off to the right from this view and Mt. Saint Helens to the left. They a hard to see in picture usually, and are not in this one, just sayin'.
This is our garden of sorts, we just dug holes for the tomatoes, zucchini, cilantro, and two kinds of cucumber. Then surrounded it with grass clippings. It's worked so far and the plants are doing great!

There's an old shed in the front yard that must have belong with the original farm house. It's very rustic looking and works as the shop. Straight out toward the sunset  and across the road is a golf course! :)
To the left of that is this very cute and peaceful farm that we can't quite see from the yard because of a hedge.
But we enjoy it on our evening walks, this road dead ends at I 5 right near a truck stop so the boys love to cruise to the end where they try their hand at honking trucks.

Here's a better one that shows the golf course in the back ground. And the tree holes that the boys spent hours in until they were filled in a week ago when construction started on a custom home next door.
This is the mud room and main entrance :}(I'm working on changing that) because of the way the house sits on the property.  The upside to this being that when the kids come in dirty the washer  is right there and I can also throw in a quick wash on the way out the door!
Straight ahead as you step in you see the awesome open kitchen and living room.

To your left is the kids room.
Exiting the kids room a spare room is to the left of theirs from this view and that's their bath straight ahead.

And straight across the hallway from them is the master bedroom. It is the biggest one we've ever had with a walk in closet as you come in (the door on the right)

Mr. Tech's home office fits in to the right and the master bath is to the left.

It has what I think is called a garden tub or something of the sort plus a separate shower. The kids have adopted both, the tub is there own private "hot pool" :) and the shower is their "car wash" and they are the cars. Also a seperate door for the toilet and a large enclosed linen closet. Huge, I tell ya.

The office (photo credit goes to Leroy)
Dining room and kitchen which are very open! And the toy/school room is ahead thru the doorway in this pic.

Hallway to toy room and front entry
And the living room which adjoins the kitchen dining area making for a very wide open floor plan.
Looking back down the hall at the mud room entry.

And that's pretty much it. These are mostly pictures of close to when we first moved in. I have been working on decorating and changing furniture around/ settling in. And been working in the yard too with my perennials and gardens of  course. With all the hardwood floors the Swiffer has become a bestfriend! The dark color looks awesome but quickly shows small dirty foot prints. Not complaining tho' having it all on the one level makes it easier to clean up quickly! And we're enjoying it here!   SJo~
