It's only been.......two years!
It's easier to start over then try and find the way into the old blog so here goes especially for Aunt Sus and Aunt Deb. Starting off with the latest pics that I got a chance to take two weeks back and am working on sending around. Our smallest man is often known as BeetleBug, cause if you put him down on his back these days, he promptly turns over. :) |
This is what he does if the binky falls out. I love it! None of the others did it. He's a mostly contented little guy! Loves his Daddy, always lights up with a big smile when he hears his voice. Loves his siblings too tho' he gets plenty of roughing up from them. :} |
Phi having reached the dignified age of 6 years is doing his best (on good days) to learn to read! That's the goal for this summer! He is a great help when he isn't sucked into joining the caprices of his two partners in silliness. |
And our Jewel, who trys her best to keep up with her brothers, until their goofiness gets too much or to muddy. She then retreats to a quiet corner with her babies where she cares for them in peaceful solitude. She does enjoy some good rough housing now and then tho'. |
Our easy going second man Leroy, he has a facination for making silly faces for cameras. Already lost his two bottom front teeth (beat his older brother to that) He is also learning to read and i think is a visual learner as he is very quick to catch on with most any school subject. Not so quick when it's a spoken command! |
Our country Jewel (she wanted to do the hat) :) |
This guy, our third man we still call Bug's (or John Claudius when he speaks with his accent) He then protests "but my names not that, I don't have an accident" The John Claude we tease about had a french accent. This John Claudius has a very intense personality. He loves his little brother BeetleBug to pieces and has been known to be too rough in doing so. Most of his "I sorry" hugs to his sister involve lifting her off her feet. And most of his "I sorry"hugs involve his sister as she is the easiest to tackle, tho he gives his older brothers a run for their money. Tackling tends to be his favorite pass time. But to be fair he is also the most affectionate and gives out the most hugs and kisses of the bunch. His current struggle is cooperation. Should probably change his name to Little Rascal. |
Phi loves living in the country, riding his bike (when the tires aren't flat from thorns) sawing branches up or trees down, ropes and trailers and any thing mechanical. Uncle AJ gave him a set of screw drivers for his birthday and he uses them often. All the boys love trailers, and ropes and dirt and water. It's quite the mix. Most sunny days they're out there in the yard with all sorts of odd things being dragged behind their bikes. |
Leroy again, the farm in the background is right across from us and we walk on the great little deadend road that runs along side it almost every day. The kids bike and Leroy and Phi both cruise without their training wheels Bugs still likes his on tho'. |
My favorite of Leroy. |

So that's the cast of characters that you will see often on this blog we hope. :) I need to get back in the habit of daily pictures anyway. These days of our lives fly so quickly yet in slow motion it seems at times. Course when I look back over the two years since I've last blogged much has changed, new baby, moved again, dear friend home in glory, all three of us sisters married and soon to have kiddos!! (Don't take that last one wrong I already had my kiddo this year the other two are working on that one!) We change HE changes not! This song that I haven't heard in a while was going through my mind today:
How great is our GOD,
How great is HIS name,
He's the only one,
Forever the Same,
HE rolled back the waters of the mighty Red Sea,
And HE says I'll lead you,
Put your trust in ME.
Hope to be back soon ~
I love the photos and good job on the new blog! Can't wait to be able to "keep in touch" better through our blogs. :) If there is an option to do so, the font for the captions under the photos could be a little bigger, I have to squint to read them. Of course I do know how to make the font size bigger on my screen, but I just thought I would mention it and see what you think. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the in put. It will hopefully improve as I get back into the hang of it. :) Sjo
